Bluebill Drake Working Duck Decoy Original Paint Hand Carved by Danny Lee Heuer. Approximate size is: 11 1/4" long, by7 1/2" High and 6 Wide. Original carving by my father, Danny Lee Heuer in original working paint condition, 1984. Excellent addition to that serious collector of original carvings. This Turned Head Preener has been floated and hunted over during the 1984 Duck Season.
After the 1984 Duck Season, this decoy was put on the shelf to join my fathers other rig mates. This decoy received my fathers "Shelf Decoy" paint job, which after floated it became a. "Shelf Decoy" paint jobs were reserved for his favorite carvings and completed during those slow winter months. My father passed two years ago at 96 years, and he was a master carver of decoys.
