I bought this high head. Canvasback drake about 12-15 years ago. It was supposed to be by Lum Fletcher, as you can see from the label underneath. The Lum Fletcher Cans I've seen in books have larger bills of plain form and the separation line between the bill and the head goes downward back towards the throat in a straight line rather artlessly.
This decoy's separation line curves artfully tightly forward and around to where it ends at the corner of the mouth, in line below where it started. This decoy's bill is much more delicately carved with a sharp Roman nose. It's in a working repaint and has signs of obvious use. There are a few shot holes here and there and the tip of the bill is abraded on its right side.
He is 13 3/4" long and the body is 11 1/4". The item "High Head Upper Chesapeake Canvasback Drake Duck Decoy" is in sale since Monday, May 31, 2021.
