RARE Brant by Artie Birdsall Birdsall Decoy Co, Pt. Pleasant, NJ (Wildfowler)

Putting some of my decoy collection up for sale so please take a look. This is a very nicely done brant by Artie Birdsall, Birdsall Decoys, Point Pleasant, New Jersey.

In 1984, Artie opened his own decoy company and limited his production to only 6 at a time making any of his decoys relatively hard to find, certainly not mass produced. This decoy was from the collection of noted decoy enthusiast Jim Trimble of Maryland.

This is a stylish brant, hissing style with a long neck and slender body. It is signed by Mr.

Birdsall on the bottom and has his company copper metal tag as well. It is very light and appears to be hollow, but I couldn't tell for sure.
