Description : An antique carved and painted working Duck Decoy, Mallard Hen , 15-3/4L, Mason Decoy Factory, Detroit, Michigan, c. Solid cedar body with pine head. A true working standard grade glass eye model with dry original paint and tremendous Folk Art appeal. The photos are probably the best description. Condition : Honest gunning/field wear throughout including dings, scuffs, shot marks, soiling, etc.

Consistent with age, use and exposure to the elements. It has not been cleaned. Most of the neck filler is missing.

The head is still quite secure however; it can be turned, just slightly, left and right. Some whitish residue noted on the back, and also just in front of the right eye. There is a linear check along the length of the base, as shown. See photos for complete details and close-ups.
