Early Paul Gibson Scaup Decoy, Havre de Grace, MD
Listed is a straight from the rig working decoy made by Paul Gibson, most likely pre-1950s. Although the decoy is painted like a blue bill drake, the paint underneath on the head makes me think it was originally a mallard drake. I love the drill hole in the body near the front, indicating they did not waste wood for making working decoys.
