This is a vintage item. Has been loved and it has a history. Was a bookshelf display item only.

However, I no longer have the original Retail Box or original packing materials. Item's Background - I used this decoy as a sort of "Preppy" bookshelf decor item for several years, then placed it in in-home storage. One of my all-time favorites. This decoy is fully operational and functions artistically as originally intended. Cosmetic Condition - Absolutely perfect.

There is a cute little wormwood artifact that evinces itself on the top of the decoy's head. Bottom Line - An affordable life-size beautifully detailed carved decoy at a very reasonable price. Famous Maker - Hand Crafted by unknown maker.

This is not a Darkfeather Freedman Decoy. I have been asked and have checked, so don't get your hopes up. Region - New England, NE USA (Also Louisiana Delta, Southern USA). Decoy Species - Green Winged Teal Hen.

Scarcity - Unusual, but not totally rare. Strength of Maker Attribution - Low, un-hallmarked.

Craftsman's Item Number - Not known. Age - Made (and acquired around 1981), about 42 yrs. Model Line - Not known. Original MSRP - Not known.

Acquired at a sporting goods store inventory clearance sale event, Orange County, CA. Rough Overall Dimensions (LHD) - 13" x 5.5" x 5 (Max Extents).

Weight - 1.60 Lbs. Functionality - JMHO: If I were a migrating Teal, I would be fooled. Practical Use - Nostalgic artistic display piece. Not likely intended to be used as a hunter's working field-type floating decoy.
