Elegant preening form with a realistic natural appearence, this hollow bodied decoy also has nice paint details.

Clarence Fennimore is a noted New Jersey master carver. The NJ Decoy Collecttors Association elected him to the Carvers Hall of Fame in 2012. More information below from the Tuckerton (NJ) Seaport & Baymen's Museum.

Growing up in Bordentown, N. Clarence Fennimore was influenced by his uncle, Harry Fennimore (1886 - 1970) who lived with the Fennimore family. Harry was a life long carver of Delaware River style decoys and is well known to decoy carvers and collectors. Clarence is a regular demonstrator at the Tuckerton Seaport. He was also selected to represent New Jersey carving traditions at the 2004 Smithsonian Festival where he demonstrated his carving skills daily for a week at the Washington, D.

Clarence has also been featured in numerous magazines and is one of the carvers in the book - "Sixty Living and Outstanding North American Carvers" by Loy S.
